Repository Mirrors

TeraSwitch is proud to support open source projects by donating storage and bandwidth space to our publicly-accessible repository mirrors.

Our mirrors are professionally monitored and maintained. Some of our mirror features include:

  • Fully IPv6 Capable
  • 10 Gbps total uplink to our core network
  • Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Our mirrors are accessible over RSYNC, HTTP, and HTTPS.

Base URL:

Available Distributions

To use our Debian mirrors, replace the default mirror URL and add the following to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

http://mirror.pit.teraswitch.com/debian


Then, run apt update to make apt pull from our mirrors.

To use our Ubuntu mirrors, replace the default mirror URL and add the following to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

http://mirror.pit.teraswitch.com/ubuntu

Then, run apt update to make apt pull from our mirrors.

Usually, yum is smart enough to pick our mirror as the source if you’re close enough on the network. To manually force yum to use our CentOS mirrors, uncomment the baseurl options in /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo section, and put the following:

http://mirror.pit.teraswitch.com/centos/$releasever/os/$basearch/


Next, comment out the mirrorlist option.
Then, run yum update to make yum use our mirror servers for package downloads.

At this time, we only offer the epel portion of the Fedora repository.

Usually, yum is smart enough to pick our mirror as the source if you’re close enough on the network. To manually force yum to use our CentOS mirrors, uncomment the baseurl options in /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo section, and put the following:

http://mirror.pit.teraswitch.com/fedora/epel/7/$basearch

Next, comment out the metalink option.
Then, run yum update to make yum use our mirror servers for all epel package downloads.

To use our Rapsbian mirrors, replace the default mirror URL and addadd the following to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

http://mirror.pit.teraswitch.com/raspbian/raspbian/


Then, run apt update to make apt pull from our mirrors.

To use our Linux Mint mirrors, replace the default mirror URL and addadd the following to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

http://mirror.pit.teraswitch.com/linuxmint/

Then, run apt update to make apt pull from our mirrors.
To use our Arch mirrors, replace the default mirror URL and addadd the following to your /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist file:

Server = https://mirror.pit.teraswitch.com/archlinux/$repo/os/$arch
